General FAQs

A:  My approach to personal styling is holistic and tailored with full transformations to one off colour confidence and style days and colour analysis. Our style can evolve and I find that some people enjoy to get to know what it's about but there is real power in helping individuals over a longer period of time over a day or a few months to really get into the heart fo who they are and be able to provide real time feedback and support.

Drawing on my styling training and extensive experience in coaching within HR, I focus on understanding your unique needs and preferences rather than conforming to predefined fashion ideals. This ensures that the styles and colours you choose truly reflect who you are.

i predominately support purpose led female professional, female founders and organisations but also support individuals alongside this.

During our  sessions, I utilise a structured colour analysis system and assess your body shape to help give you relevant tips that work for you and your goals, but I also dive deeper into your lifestyle and personal style. I see these elements as pieces of a jigsaw puzzle that, when combined, help guide you towards a wardrobe that enhances your confidence and individuality.

Investing in personal styling not only helps you look your best but also boosts your self-confidence. With my expert guidance, you'll refine your wardrobe and make informed choices that resonate with your authentic self. This process ultimately saves you time and money on future purchases, as you'll gain clarity on the items that work for you.

I only take a few clients on at a time for my signature experience to be able to dedicate the time you need for questions and support.

Colour and style confidence days are super popular and can be individual or up to 4 people.

My one off colour analysis can be individual or up to 4 people at a time. I do offer groups quotes depending on needs.

Wardrobe Edit sessions take place in your home, allowing us to work directly with your wardrobe to maximize its potential. I also offer this as a  virtual wardrobe edit service, providing flexibility and convenience if an in-person session isn’t possible.

Colour Analysis

A.  Colour analysis is a process that identifies the colours that naturally complement your skin tone, hair, and eyes. It's not about restricting your choices; instead, I’ll show you the most flattering colours while also providing key tips on how to wear the colours you love successfully.

Understanding your personalised colour palette can simplify your shopping decisions, making the process quicker and more efficient. It helps create a curated wardrobe that harmonises beautifully, allowing you to assemble complete outfits with ease. By knowing which colours work best for you, you'll not only enhance your overall appearance but also feel more vibrant and confident in your style choices.

A. I am trained in both seasonal and tonal colour analysis, but use tonal colour analysis in my session to create a flattering palette for you based on your current colourings. This approach considers your current hair colour, skin tone, and eye colour.

While I am trained in both tonal and seasonal colour analysis, I focus on tonal analysis as it provides deeper insights. If I believe it's beneficial for you to understand both, I will gladly share that information as well. Seasonal analysis categorises individuals into one of four palettes: Spring, Summer, Autumn, or Winter. In contrast, tonal analysis identifies one of six dominant palettes: LIGHT, DEEP, WARM, COOL, CLEAR, or SOFT.

From this, I can determine your dominant, secondary, and tertiary colour types in my full  session, potentially leading to one of 24 unique colour palette variations. This comprehensive approach is thoroughly discussed and illustrated in the advanced colour session. I also offer an approach that depeens your experience as it shouldn't be just about what technically suits you but also your personality and how to get maximum joy out of what you're wearing.

In my full signature service we take this further because I believe colour should also work with your personality and wider goals!

A. Yes, it is possible that your colour palette can change. It is one of the main reasons that I see clients who have previously had colour analysis. Current hair colour, skin tone and eye colour all impact your palette and all of these can change. Not everyone will change palette, but if you suspect colours are looking different on you and know there have been changes it is worth considering a session.

A: Absolutely! Joint or group sessions are a great way to discover your colour palettes together, making it a fun and insightful experience. You’ll walk away with a deeper understanding of what colours work best for you as you get to see questions asked by others and how it works on someone else too. I also offer small group sessions at my home studio.

PERSONAL STYLE CONSULTATIONS

A.

A personal style session at Thrive with Colour is a tailored service that helps you explore your style identity and refine your unique look. In our session, as part of the signature programme we’ll discuss what style identity means for you - how your clothing choices reflect your personality, values, and lifestyle. This exploration allows us to set clear style goals together.

I’ll provide valuable tips on fits, fabrics, cuts, and clothing that enhance your best features. You’ll gain confidence in knowing what to look for when shopping, making the process enjoyable and efficient.

After our session, you’ll receive a personalised guide summarising our discussions, style recommendations, and actionable insights. This serves as a helpful resource as you curate a wardrobe that truly reflects who you are, ensuring you feel empowered and confident in your clothing choices.

A.  Absolutely! You don't need to have a defined style to benefit from a consultation. In fact, our session is designed to help you discover and refine your style identity, even if you're starting from scratch. Together, we’ll explore what styles resonate with you, assess your lifestyle needs, and develop a clearer sense of what makes you feel your best. It’s all about finding what feels authentic to you.

A.  A personal style session is not about encouraging you to buy a whole new wardrobe. Instead, it focuses on making the most of what you already have and guiding you to make smarter, more intentional purchases in the future. We’ll explore how to integrate new pieces with your existing wardrobe and invest in versatile items that enhance your personal style, saving you time and money in the long run.

A:  My approach is all about creating a positive and supportive environment. I understand that discussing body shape can feel intimidating and personal, my goal is to celebrate your uniqueness, not to fit you into a certain mould and not to be judged. During the session, we’ll focus on styles, cuts, and fabrics that make you feel confident and comfortable. My aim is to help you see the potential in every part of yourself and leave you feeling empowered. You deserve to love yourself as the brilliant person you are right now.

Not at all! My goal is to work with your existing preferences and help you refine them, rather than change who you are. If you love bold colours, relaxed fits, or timeless classics, I’ll respect that and show you how to incorporate those elements into a style that feels both authentic. A personal style session  is about building on what makes you feel good and adding new ideas that align with your personality.

WARDROBE EDITS

A.   A wardrobe edit is a service where I help you assess and refresh your existing wardrobe to ensure it aligns with your style goals, colour palette, and lifestyle. It’s about making sure that each piece in your wardrobe truly works for you, giving you a curated collection that’s both functional and stylish. This process not only helps you make the most of what you already own but also guides you in making thoughtful additions that complement your existing pieces.

A.   I believe that understanding who you are, your personal style, and your colour palette is essential for a truly successful wardrobe edit. By working with clients I’ve already seen for style and colour sessions like in my signature programme, I can ensure that my recommendations are fully aligned with your unique style identity, the colours that suit you best, and the fabrics that flatter you. This approach allows me to provide personalized suggestions that will make you feel confident and help you get the most out of your wardrobe.

A.   Yes, absolutely! In fact, I encourage clients to do a bit of self-editing before our wardrobe edit session. It’s a great way to make the process more cost-effective and allows you to focus on the pieces that you’re unsure about. This way, we can concentrate on refining those items and building versatile outfits that work for you.

A:   During our session, we’ll review your existing pieces and identify what works best based on your personal style and colour palette. I’ll suggest outfits using what you already have and recommend any key additions to fill gaps or elevate your wardrobe. My goal is to help you create cohesive, stylish looks that make you feel confident and comfortable. Detailed information about the wardrobe edit process is provided to clients after they’ve completed their initial style and colour consultations with me.

Not necessarily! A wardrobe edit is about making the most of what you already own. I’ll work with you to highlight the best pieces in your wardrobe and offer suggestions on how to style them in fresh ways. If there are gaps or items that would elevate your wardrobe, I’ll make recommendations, but you’re under no pressure to buy. My focus is on creating a versatile, functional wardrobe that suits your lifestyle.

Personal shpopping

A.    Personal shopping is a service where I help you find clothing and accessories that align perfectly with your style, body shape, and colour palette. Based on your needs and preferences, I’ll guide you through shopping for new pieces—whether you’re looking for a complete wardrobe refresh, seasonal updates, or outfits for a special occasion. My goal is to make shopping stress-free and enjoyable, helping you make smart choices that complement your existing wardrobe.

A.   I offer personal shopping services exclusively to women who have already completed a colour analysis and personal style session with me. This approach allows me to fully understand your unique style, body shape, and the colours that suit you best. By focusing on existing clients, I can provide a truly personalized shopping experience, selecting items that align with your style identity and making the process more efficient and enjoyable. This ensures that every recommendation I make is tailored to you, saving time and helping you make confident shopping choices that work beautifully with your existing wardrobe.

A.    Not at all! My role is to guide you and provide suggestions, but you are in control of what you purchase. I’ll recommend pieces that I believe will work well for you, but there’s no obligation to buy anything you’re not comfortable with. My focus is on helping you make informed choices, so you can leave the session feeling confident about your purchases.

A.  A personal shopping session saves you time by cutting through the overwhelm of searching for the right items. With my expertise in understanding what works best for your style, colour palette, and body shape, I can quickly identify pieces that are a perfect match, reducing the time you spend browsing and trying on items. Plus, my recommendations are tailored to your needs, helping you avoid impulse buys or items that don’t complement your existing wardrobe—saving you money in the long run.

A.   That’s completely normal! Personal shopping is a collaborative process, and I’m here to guide you at a pace that feels right for you. We’ll build on your existing style and explore new options that align with your preferences. My goal is to help you feel comfortable and confident, whether we’re adding classic pieces or experimenting with something fresh. You’ll never feel pressured to step too far out of your comfort zone—together, we’ll find the perfect balance.

A.   Absolutely! After you have been a client of mine, personal shopping sessions are customised to your needs. Whether you’re looking for professional workwear, casual pieces, or something special for a holiday or event, we’ll tailor the session to your goals. By understanding your specific needs and preferences, I’ll help you find pieces that are not only stylish but also practical for your lifestyle.
