What is a clothes swap?

A clothes swap enables you to bring good quality and clean items of clothing, shoes, or accessories from your wardrobe. For every item you bring, you’ll get a token that can be used to swap for another item at the clothes swap. 

You get to inject your wardrobe with some new items that give you joy and your preloved items will also go to a great new home! Hooray!

These events aim to:

• Help our local area in Berkshire contribute to the circular fashion economy, thinking about choosing preloved pieces or quality pieces over opting for too many fast fashion options
• Bring a community of like minded individuals together for fun events that bring local business and community together
• Have an element of charity support and giving back at each event too
• Be a great way to have a nice few hours socialising, whilst having fun shopping!

Why is this important to me? 

As an image consultant & personal stylist who specialises in colour analysis, I'm always really keen for individuals to dress in a way that is authentic to them and I help them by showing them which colours and styles look fantastic on them. 

I want to help individuals to make their wardrobes work harder and increase their confidence by wearing clothes that really suit them and give them personal joy by having items they are going to love and wear again and again and swapping is a great and sustainable way to try new things out and help understand your existing wardrobe. 

I first started 'swishing' (clothes swapping) with friends over 10 years ago where I started a group called the swishing well! I always felt it was a shame having unused pieces in our wardrobe that weren't doing anything and that it would be a great way to add some new pieces we may have overlooked and in a planet friendly way.
